Grayson, you are an ABSOLUTE joy! Having you here and part of our family for Christmas this year brings an extra element of delight and joy to our family! You make us all laugh, your smile is contagious, and your pleasant demeanor is a gift to us all! =) I seriously cannot fathom what life was like before you arrived…you were always planned and prayed for and we count it a privilege to have you for our son-to be entrusted with the task of raising you to be a God fearing man one day! Grayson, we couldn’t ask for more (well maybe for you to sleep all night again =) ) but truly you are the best baby in the world. We just got back from Disney World where we stretched you all day every day with no naps and feedings in public restrooms and you handled it all like a champ. You never made a peep and smiled all day long! You are seriously THE MOST content baby I’ve ever met. We can take you anywhere and you just smile at everyone! What fun you are to have along with us! You just roll with the flow and adapt to whatever you need to!  Thank you for making our laps just a smidge cozier but our hearts even fuller. You are so precious to us! We adore you, treasure you, and thank God for you! We pray God grants us wisdom each day to love you well, point you to Christ, and model His ultimate grace and mercy for you each day. We know we will fail you, but your Savior never will. What a gift this Christmas season to remember HOPE came as a baby! We love you sweet Grayson!

Memories & Milestones: 8 Months Old-9 Months Old

-Daddy let you have your first taste of ice cream while we were in Atlanta with just you! (12/1/17)

-Up until now we had been keeping you with us during the church service because you were so quiet and content with mommy holding you, but now you are suddenly much more active and noisy so this will have to change! (11/26/17)

-FIRST SNOW!! Pretty young to get to experience your first snow, especially living in good ole' Auburn, AL-12/9/17

-1st time eating in a high chair at CFA on our way to Disney World at 8.5mo & also enjoyed your first taste of their ice dream (12/9/17)

-FIRST TRIP TO DISNEY! You made your first trip at 8.5mo and were absolutely amazing the whole time! You slept like a champ and just went with the flow, even keeping rather late hours at the park! You were adorable when you met Minnie! (12/10/17)

-You are thoroughly enjoying your baby food and will gobble it all right up! Not objecting to too much just yet!

-still not taking a bottle (won't even try ugh!) and still sleeping on your tummy

-you can get anywhere you want to go by scooting forward, scooching backwards, or spinning around in a circle

-learned how to "yell!" (12/21/17)

-you can officially go from your tummy to sitting up (right at 9mo)

-started finger foods a week of shy of 9mo and did fantastic with them (strawberries cut up and puffs)

-you are definitely a little boy-you love your cars and balls already!

Grayson Mills Currie {8 Months Old}

8 Month Stats:

Weight: right around 20lbs

Clothes: some 6mo and some 9mo

Sweet boy!

I know I say it every month, but the truth remains: the time is FLYING by! I could squeeze you every minute of every day and it still wouldn’t be enough. You are simply the best =) By far the most laid back and content baby! Grayson, you make our days brighter and that smile you give is contagious to our whole house. We are so thankful to God for giving us you-you are more than we could have dreamed of and more than we deserve. We know it’s a loud house full of lots of emotions, but you handle it all in stride. Praying it stays that way! I think it’s safe to say you are satisfied being the caboose, toted around, & doted and loved on! You welcome any attention with the sweetest smile and perk up when someone plays with you! Your sisters can’t stand for you to shed any tears and do their best to sing to you, fetch your paci as quick as they can, or offer you a new toy to play with. I just cannot believe that that 8-pound baby is 8 months old today. The days can surely feel long, but the years are short! I know that full well. So I come to your aid in the middle of the night and pat your back or rock you as long as you need because it won’t last forever. In fact, it will be gone way too soon. You are such a joy, a true delight Grayson Bug and we love you so very much!! We are loving all our days with you!

Memories & Milestones: 7 Months Old-8 Months Old 

- you thoroughly enjoyed your first cup of Stonyfield vanilla yogurt! (10/27/17)

-sat up for a long time without tipping over on 10/27/17 (just past 7mo) but still can't be left alone safely

-Everything, I mean EVERYTHING goes into your mouth that you get your hands on

-love to shake toys from side to side as hard as you possibly can to see what they'll do    

-the tags on things keep you quite occupied for a while and they end up soaked when you are finished! =)

-you end up sleeping on your tummy most nights

-still won't take a bottle =(

-still a great nurser but unfortunately you are still waking up at night to eat at least once

-wake up having soaked through your diaper almost every morning

-daddy snipped a few longer strands of your hair over thanksgiving

-sitting up pretty well unassisted at 7.5months!!

-Things you love to do lately: pull out toys from a container, bang two objects together to make loud noises, scoot around on your tummy, reach for ANYTHING within a mile radius of you, babble up a storm and test out new sounds with your voice, grab your paci if it’s within your reach and put it back in your mouth, put EVERYTHING in your mouth, grab any tag, string, cord, etc. and reach down for things and come back up to the sitting position

Grayson Mills Currie {7 Months Old}

7 Month Stats:

Weight: still chunky =)

Height: still average

Clothes: wearing mostly 6mo

Diapers: size 2

Teeth: first one popped through at 6.5mo

Memories & Milestones: 6 Months Old-7 Months Old

-introduced solids to you a little after 6mo (we waited an extra week for you to be healthy!)

-Your first bite of real food (oatmeal) was on 9/26/17 and was also your first time in the high chair-you gobbled it all up and got the hang of eating rather quickly!

-1st butternut squash (10/2/17), 1st avocado after squash, 1st carrots (10/8/17), 1st pears (10/10/17), 1st bananas (10/20/17)

-You always LOVED your first Baby Mum Mum in the bumbo on 10/15/17

-you started rolling over during diaper changes at 6.5mo

-you started doing the tripod sitting right around 6.75mo

-were able to put your paci back in your mouth at 6.75mo as well

-started getting up on your knees and rocking at 6.75mo

-this month you began shaking toys every which way to see what they do and if they make noise

-you enjoy flapping your legs down really hard on the crib mattress and we can hear you banging around up there every night when you go to bed

-you cut your first tooth right around six and a half months and also bit mommy while nursing (huge ouch!) on 10/22/17

-you were almost sitting up unassisted right around 7 months

-still adored by your big sisters! All three enjoy reading to you, playing with you, and "babysitting" you!

...and THAT SMILE =) We're pretty smitten G-bug!
