Shoe: size 2 Toms (1st pair!)
Teeth: almost 2...they're still making their way in!

Well hello little almost one year old,
Where did my six pound baby go??!! Thank goodness for pictures and memories stored in my heart or else those months would be long gone! They have seriously flown by sweetheart since the day you entered this world! Well safe to say this month, your personality has literally blossomed! We’re not sure whether to be thrilled or scared because it’s a strong one and cute one all balled up in one! You went with the flow rarely making a peep or showing any signs of anything but totally chill for the first ten months of your life and now it seems you are making up for lost time. You scream when your food doesn’t come fast enough. You scream when getting a diaper change. You scream when getting into your car seat and you certainly scream when you can’t have the toy you want or get into something that you’re told you can’t do. It makes us laugh, but it is definitely reminding us that you do indeed have a little personality and now we wonder so much what your true temperament, quirks, strengths, and weaknesses will be. We wonder what will bring you joy and what will make you cry. We love you so deeply sweet girl and we’re so thankful to be your parents. Your sisters’ love for you could bring me to tears. They would move heaven and earth for you. They love to be your big “mommies!” They still will do anything to make you smile and anything to stop the tears from flowing. SO.MUCH.FUN. having three little girls playing together now. And we know that will only continue to become more and more as you grow! We hope you see Jesus when you see how we care for you. Howe we would sacrifice all we have for you and how no matter what you do or how you act, our love for you will always be unconditional. You make us so happy sweet Ashton Kate and you bring many others great joy as well! Happy 11 months to our newest little squirt! We love you!
Love, Mommy & Daddy

Milestone and Memories from 10-11 months:
-Not much has changed in your typical schedule! You are still an awesome sleeper! Once we put you down we rarely have to go in there until morning. Occasionally, you will cry out but it’s over and done with before mommy can even fully wake up. You go down around 8ish still and you are up for the day between 7:30 and 8 as well. You take two naps generally totaling about 3-3.5hrs a day. If you miss your morning nap, you catch up by taking one really long nap. Your sleeping really makes mommy’s job just a smidge easier!
-Still nursing every morning and then taking a pumped bottle of milk for the other 3 feedings. Has worked well and you are mighty quick with the bottle! You even learned how to hold it yourself when laying down (9/8) and are pretty eager to get it in your mouth once you lay eyes on it! Typical day is 7:30/8, 11:30/12, 3:30/4:30, & 7:30/8 with three meals mixed in there.
-Mealtime is a favorite for you =) As soon as you see your twin sisters make their way to the table to eat, you aren’t far behind begging to be picked up and put in your highchair. As long as you like what’s being served, you devour it quicker than I can get it cut up on your tray. You aren’t afraid to show your dislike for certain foods now…such as eggs, avocado, and butternut squash/sweet potatoes. You like just about everything else so far which is SO nice! And you want to do it ALL BY YOURSELF.
-You have developed quite a feisty/fiery/spunky little personality this past month! Your daddy jokes and says you sure didn’t have an opinion for the first 10 months of your life, so you sure don’t get one now =) But seriously, you are quite vocal about your likes/dislikes of everything! You make yourself known around this family and it’s quite funny!
-Last month you were just getting mobile, but now there is no stopping you! Wanting to be on the go constantly is an understatement. You can’t get down fast enough from our arms to be moving. You are into EVEYRTHING and I mean everything. You have found the stairs, cabinets, drawers, laundry room, bathroom toilet-you name it and you have probably made a visit or quite a few. You love exploring new places and as long as no one tries to stop you, you’re a happy camper, but boy take you away and you will scream and protest!
-So with that mobility has come great difficulty in changing your diaper and getting you dressed. It is quite a sight to say the least. You WILL NOT stay still and escape from mommy’s arm regularly and take off as fast as you possibly can. You also put up a big fight (as in screaming!) during these tasks and being wiped off from mealtime. Patience my little one, patience!
-The car seat used to not be an issue but remember when I mentioned feisty? Well, you will do a full out plank when we try to get you in your seat. I mean straight as a board, can’t bend your torso for fear of hurting you while adequately expressing your displeasure for containing you =) Again, quite an opinion now, ha! (This began at 10.5mo and is still going strong…)
-Other things you learned to express or do at 10.5 months old and are still current things you do…shake your head profusely and clinch your mouth shut when rejecting food, crawl ALL over the house, get to wherever the action and people are, especially your big sisters, mess up the twins stuff or things they have made/built, express your happiness or disgust for things, crawl up on mommy for some love and then get back down to play, hold your own bottle, pull up on everything, open cabinets, drawers, try to get in the dishwasher and dryer, unload bookshelves, pull magazines off end table, grab our cell phones and try to “swipe” them as you have seen done, unplug things such as monitors and the sound machines, & mimic/copy noises and animal sounds or words
-Your all-time favorite toy if you can get your hands on them are the door stoppers! Following behind that would be the Fisher Price doll house, the play house that you can crawl in and out of and go head first down the mini slide, playing with the twins kitchen stuff, stuffed animals, the doctor’s kit-really, you’re a pretty content child when it comes to playing with things!
-When I think of you at 11 months this is what comes to mind:  You are quite an affectionate baby! You love being near mommy and daddy (+ your two sissies too!) and giving and receiving lots of hugs and kisses! =) You will crawl up to get some “love” and then go back to doing what you were doing many times a day. You smile all the time! People still comment on what a doll baby you look like (you’ve heard that since the day you were born truly), you wave and say hey/hi to the FedEx man, mailman, cashiers, really anybody, you are an extremely active and squirmy one now who wants to be climbing, crawling, pulling up, opening, shutting, exploring and testing the limits! You LOVE anything soft and cuddly and will squeeze and pat babies and stuffed animals by your chest (PRECIOUS!) and you will bury your head into big teddy bears and animals, you are pretty persistent when it comes to achieving things and can now put all the rings on your toy in addition to the coins in the piggy bank. You watch and then you replicate and you do it well. You are a sociable baby who is fun to take out because you love people. You don’t think you’re a baby and think you can do anything you big sisters do. You try to chase them up the tunnels at the playground and you like to follow them everywhere they go. You belly laugh when tickled and you make our days brighter!!
-Important dates this month: 9/3-Stood up in the middle of the carpet without falling for a second; 9/8-enjoyed your first Jim N Nick’s meal-tasted mac n cheese, watermelon, chicken, and cheese biscuits; 9/10-9/14-you stayed overnight with someone other than mommy & daddy-we left you with Nana & G-dad while we were in Orlando for daddy’s work conference/Disney trip; 9/17-used your first snack cup; 9/22-saw you drop food off your tray intentionally; 9/23-played in the sandbox for the first time; 9/27- climbed up on the bottom stair; 9/28-intentionally gave someone a hug! Crawled right up to Makenzie and wrapped your arms around her! 9/29-I spy your first two teeth coming in on the bottom (haven’t poked through yet); 9/30-1st bouncy house experience and loved it; 10/1- your two bottom teeth broke through! (a day past 11months!)

Auburn's Homecoming Weekend...

It's Homecoming Week here in Auburn...and that means even if the game is a terrible, boring experience that the events leading up to will be exciting! We headed downtown to enjoy the Homecoming parade that made its way through campus and ended near Samford. The girls LOVED it and especially seeing Aubie! And the weather...well it was just fantastic! Beginning to feel like fall around here...
Could eat this cuteness up! After the parade, we grabbed a quick dinner at Momma G's and of course the girls favorite part was the nachos. We're gonna have to start ordering two if we stand a chance at enjoying a few ourselves.
It's Saturday  morning and here we are again! This is our usual routine. Save spots Friday afternoon so we can just roll into campus and park without any hassle or fuss. And then this is how we roll...two in the seats, one on the front and thanks to the new stroller without any huffing and puffing. Side note: we waited three years too long to purchase a double bob. Boy do we love it!!
AND DONE...no need to snap another one. The cuteness has been captured! Everyone is looking and smiling! It's a miracle :)
Thankful for fun family memories and most of all for the three little blessings the Lord has entrusted into our care. We love them deeply!
Loved seeing old friends from Birmingham! The kiddos are growing up way too fast!
Strolling down the concourse to see all the floats. Daddy's fraternity represented themselves well as always...
And this little cutie scored herself a daddy-daughter date to the game! Now to see if she watches a single play or enjoys any part of it. =)
Not sure they are too "into" the game...but sweet time with daddy for sure!

Squeezing in One More Trip to Destin!!

Ahhh...please take us back! We could not have asked for more perfect weather on our last trip to Destin for a while. Truly I was reminded that the beach CAN be enjoyable if it's not a thousand degrees outside. =) September beach trip is the way to go! We had the best time once again and enjoyed making more memories with the other side of the family. So fun to be able to experience different things with different sides of the family! No need to write much as the pictures will tell the story of all the joy we experienced! So here goes...

Night #1 we headed to Seaside to enjoy a low-key dinner with 5 littles under 3.5yrs old! We loved the many options from all the food trucks to choose from, all the littles were in pleasant moods, and we weren't trying to wrangle all the children to stay in their high chairs. Win, win, win!
After dinner, we promised some ice cream cones to some cute little girls! No one turned that down...
And this little cutie pie is just waiting to be big enough to enjoy it with the rest of them!
Still not sure if it was the ice cream that made all the girls wild or the fact that they were all together again, but either way pretty cute to see all five of them giggling and laughing as they crammed themselves into one pack n play for some fun!
Saturday morning we continued the tradition to always pick up some donuts from the Donut Hole. Delicious every single time and I think only a few sprinkles were lost in the eating of them..=)
We had planned to head straight to the beach after donuts, but the rain prevented that plan from happening. On to Plan B, make our way to the outlets in shifts! Most successful outlet trip for Mommy in a long time. But we were thankful when the rain cleared and we were able to get out on the beach. Absolutely perfect time of the day! Right before sunset and plenty warm enough but not too hot. SO.MUCH.FUN!!
The twins had an absolute ball jumping waves, building sand castles, and searching for seashells. No surprise but Makenzie preferred jumping waves more and Maddie Grace loved playing in the sand more.
Their daddy is quite skilled in the sandcastle building department. Thank goodness they're not dependent on mommy to create anything that is recognizable...=)
And of course we needed to capture a family shot of us with the twins! We missed our little Ashton Kate, but she was definitely having more fun back at the house with Nana & G-Dad than she would keeping the sand out of her mouth!
No words to describe the beauty of the sun setting while we chatted about God as Creator to our twin girlies. Thankful for such teachable moments to remind them what a good God we serve and how majestic His creation is. And the fact that He allows us to enjoy it...
Half of the Currie Clan had to head out Sunday afternoon so we made a trip to the pool with everyone after breakfast which both sets of twins loved! All happy campers is an added bonus these days for you definitely know it could change in a second! And Ashton Kate enjoyed her time in the water as well!
Playing on the beach at sunset was so much fun that we decided to forgo eating out just to get another night out on the beach before we had to head back to Auburn. This time we convinced Nana & G-Dad to tag along and help with Ashton Kate. Perfect scenario...all our kiddos together with a cool breeze, the sun setting, and the sounds of laughter and joy as they held on tight with every wave that came our way. And we even were able to let Ashton Kate get her toes in the water...
And this picture is simply a reminder of an early picture of the love of Christ for His children. We are simply to hold on tight and trust. SO thankful our girls have an amazing earthly example of THAT kind of love!
Seriously will go down as the highlights from this trip! And Ashton Kate was more than happy to sit contentedly with her snacks nearby!
So thankful our girls get to live life with two sets of grandparents as a huge part of their lives. Some of their best memories involve them and we feel so blessed that they love us and our girls enough to make so many sacrifices to enjoy life together!
We sure didn't want to leave the beach after a wonderful, long weekend but definitely will remember the JOY on our girls faces enjoying the ocean! One last block of time to enjoy the sand after a perfect, perfect weekend!
And from the looks of it, this one's ready for bed!
Until next time Destin...we'll just keep reminiscing on all the fun we had!

Auburn V. San Jose State

Hello week TWO of football season. Today's matchup: Auburn V. San Jose State. Let's hope we have another win so we can keep this excitement and buzz alive in this small town of Auburn! The girls enjoyed seeing Mimi, Grandpa, and their two "single" Aunts on Friday night for some fun out on the town
Dinner out followed by a trip to Chill is never a disappointment to these two dessert lovers. They definitely inherited their mommy AND their daddy's love for all things sweet! Did I mention Friday nights with family in town are one of our favorite memories during the Fall!?
Dear goodness, this cutie owns us! Decked out in her Auburn attire, we decided to brave the heat before leaving the house to try to capture some of their sweetness! Who wants to fight them for smiles once there is food vying for our attention? =) This ball of sweetness is way too easy to capture pictures of!
And the twins...well they're easier than when they were babies, but that's not saying a whole lot! Ha!
Christmas Card picture maybe?! We'll see what the rest of the season holds...
Thankful beyond words for the littlest tiger in our family! This will be her first real year of tailgating! Let the chasing her around/keep your eyes on her the entire time begin...mobile babies make all the difference in the world!
Sweet as sugar when they wanna be! =)
Another extremely hot week so we brought mini bottles of water along this time and made frequent trips to eh student union to cool off. Some could argue is it worth it? And in the moment I often wonder the same thing. But when it's all over, we're always glad we embraced it and added to the ever growing collection of childhood memories for them. Let's hope these are good ones!
A few family pics with Aubie! At least we've moved past the "keep your eyes covered-I'm scared of Aubie" phase with Makenzie that lasted the entire season last year...that's an added bonus!
Mommy's turn to go to the game! First one in a long, long time! (or at least it feels that way!)
WAR EAGLE!!!!
