Dear Maddie Grace & Makenzie,
Today marks your one month birthday and your dad and I can hardly believe how fast a month has gone. We are eternally grateful for both of you and that the Lord has entrusted you both to us. We pray for you constantly and cannot wait to teach you God’s word. We hope and pray more than anything that your hearts fall in love with the Lord as your personal Savior! What a joy you have been to us already! Not to say we are getting tons of sleep, but we could not be happier to have you both home before your one month birthday. We waited a long time for this moment, to know what you would look like and what your personalities would be like and wow you are both so different already! We stand in awe at your perfectly formed bodies and we Praise God for each good doctor’s report we get that you are both healthy. You both make the most adorable noises but Makenzie, you have one that stands out from your sisters and you have quite the lungs, especially in the middle of the night. No worries that we will sleep through that. But you make the cutest faces all the time and are always looking around inquisitively. You also LOVE to be free and kick your legs and arms in the air constantly! You love stretching=) You love to be held and hate to be put down right now. We think you are just beyond precious! Everything on you is so miniature and I hope we never forget just how tiny you are! Maddie Grace, you are just so stinkin’ cute to us too! You love to eat and you suck down your bottles and you are a great nurser too! We think you take after Daddy’s love for eating=) You are the easiest baby in the world so far! So easy going, you hardly ever let out a cry, and you are fine waiting patiently to eat! We couldn’t have asked for an easier baby and you are just so snuggly! You love to be curled up in our arms as you don’t like being flat on your back to sleep. We could take you anywhere and hardly ever hear a peep! We’ll see if it stays that way. The position we most often find you in is sleeping peacefully with both hands around your face or ears. Must have been your position in the womb for 9 months but it is just the cutest! You both love to be elevated to sleep after being in the NICU we think so we are working on finding the best way to achieve that. You both can already focus your eyes at us and have even begun to roll halfway over and pick your head up. We can’t get over how strong you both are! We know you are both going to change so much so fast so our prayer is that we enjoy each and every day the Lord chooses to bless us with and cherish our moments with each of you. Never could we have imagined how much love we would feel for you girls! We love you both dearly and can’t wait to see you grow and develop!
