Celebrating a Sweet Little Pumokin: AK's 3rd Birthday!

Happiest of Birthdays sweet Ashton Kate, or shall we say Miss Elsa! =)
We had so much fun together getting everything assembled for your party! You were the best helper and loved being a part of it all! You counted down the days until all your friends would arrive to celebrate!
The princess LOVED every minute of her party!
You're certainly a fun one to celebrate and we had the best time seeing everyone's costumes and playing some pumpkin games!
We are so thankful for this sweet community of friends the Lord has blessed us with in Auburn! So fun watching our little ones grow up together!
Cutest little trio: Ashton Kate, Keller, and Hudson!
Official birthday breakfast: number of years you are pancakes! =) We love you Ashton Kate and we are so thankful God created you!!

50's Day at Dean Road Elementary [Kindergarten-Twins}

How has 50 days of Kindergarten come and gone so quickly?! Truly hard to believe how fast the year is flying by! 50 days that we have sent these cuties off to learn! And we are incredibly thankful that they are in the best hands at Dean Road...Mrs. Moyer is such a gift to our family and we are thankful the Lord placed them in her class! And while we are singing her praises, might I add that she sends us pictures of our kids regularly and captures so many of their Kindergarten memories for us!

Looking mighty cute if this biased mama can say so!
Sweet little group of Kindergartners!
Slurping down their sprite floats!
Also on the 50th day of school, they had a fun visit from the fire department for a safety lesson and a chance to see the inside of the firetruck!

Pumpkin Patch Hoppin! {Oct 2016}

Here's to a fun pumpkin season (aka Daddy was in Luxembourg and missed it all sadly!)
We tried to stay busy while Daddy was in Europe which meant we visited as many pumpkin patches as we had weekends to squeeze them in! =)
Pumpkin Patch #1 in Auburn with friends!
Hay rides, pumpkin picking, animal petting zoo, and friends makes for a fun Saturday morning!
Getting to hold the bunnies might have been the favorite part of the day!

Pumpkin Patch #2: Paradise Pumpkin Patch with Nana & Gdad!
We were thrilled to drive down to Clayton and spend a Sunday afternoon with Abbie & Evie plus grandparents enjoying another pumpkin patch! So much to do and the girls had a blast being together!
So many attractions the girls loved: the jumping pillow, hayride out to the cotton field, shooting the corn husk cannon, bouncy houses, & cow rides!
They were hot and tired, but the memory tank was filled!

It's A....BOY!!!

IT'S A...BOY!!!
I don't think we will ever forget hearing those words in the doctor's office that afternoon long after he is here and in our arms. Utter shock and surprise to think we might actually add some blue to our house full of pink! Daddy couldn't stop smiling and mama was over the moon excited as well! So so thankful for the gift of new life! There may have been a few "yucks, ewws, I wanted a girl baby," mixed with a few tears from this sweet boy's sisters, but we know without a shadow of a doubt they will be the best big sisters around! Praying their excitement level grows a little each day! We can't wait to meet you buddy!!
The disappointment is real...ha! =)
Coming around to the idea of a BOY!
Not sure if it's the fact that it's a boy or that she'll be giving up her baby of the family status soon that has caused the overflow of emotions for this sweet girl!
The blue balloon popped...=(
Now to figure out your name sweet boy! We will be counting down until you make your appearance Lord willing in March of 2017!

Baby #4 Coming Soon

Well, it felt like eternity waiting to tell these sweet girls that they were, Lord willing, going to be big sisters come March! I am so thankful for my sweet friend Allison who helped to perfectly capture their response to the news that Mommy indeed has a baby in her tummy! Might also help them understand why mommy could hardly budge from the couch from pure exhaustion =)

So without further ado here's our sweet trio completely unaware of what's on the other side of that chalkboard sign. =)
So eternally grateful for the gift and miracle of new life!
Family of SIX (soon to be!!)
Literally the SWEETEST memory letting them in on our little secret!
Just raw and honest reactions! Letting the news sink in...
Makenzie literally fell over backwards with excitement and surprise!
We are so humbled that the Lord has graciously given us a sweet new life to love! We can't wait to meet you little one! We know you will be dearly loved. =)
Samford Hall holds so many wonderful memories for us and now we have just added another precious one to the bunch!
Coming Soon...Baby Currie #4 due in March 2017!

1st Day of Kindergarten {Twins}

So as a parent you know this day is coming, but I don't think there is anything you can do to prepare for the emotions that will follow other than to keep your eyes upward each day. To know these children we have been entrusted with are a gift from God. To use the days He grants us wisely. To make as many memories as possible and savor the time with them. It all goes by far too quickly even though some days may have felt like they crept by ever so slowly. As we packed lunches, laid out backpacks and clothes, & read some stories about starting school, my heart was at peace and full of gratitude that the Lord graciously allowed me to stay home with them from birth until now. We have prayed for this day and it is finally upon us. Praying for their hearts as they make new friends and learn new things-may they let their lights shine for you Jesus as you grow them up!

Looks like we are as ready as we are ever going to be!
Cutest lil' Kindergarten girls!
Will be fun to look back and see their favorites and things they loved!
So grateful they are in the same class and have each other as they begin this new adventure!
Little Sis won't know what to do without her sisters home every day and having Mommy all to herself as well!
Walking these girls into their classroom on the first day of Kindergarten...
Makenzie and Maddie Grace leaving "home" for the first time in their lives...not sure who was more nervous-them or us?!

Finding their cubbies, unpacking, & finding their desks to get started!
They truly are "Happy Campers" after meeting Mrs. Moyer! We know it's going to be a great year!
We pray they always cherish this special bond of being twins!
Mrs. Moyer sent all the parents a picture of them on their first day!! =)
Starting our new tradition of a school bus cake for snack after their first day of school each year! No one will be hiring me as cake decorator anytime soon, but they sure were all smiles when they saw it and that's all that matters!
