Friendships are a gift from God...

I'm not sure we would survive this crazy life without dear friends to walk through it with...and precious friends are a true gift. They are the encouragement you need on a day with endless discipline issues, they are the joy when all in the world seems right. They are the ones you turn to when you are discouraged and the ones you turn to to share in life's celebrations. True friends are truly a precious thing...and this sweet friend and her children are such a gift to our family! Ever since we moved from Birmingham to Auburn, it has been so tough not to spend endless days getting the little ones together to play, so we finally decided let's take the chance and make a road trip and stay with each other! I mean how bad could it go? We can always leave if it doesn't go well! But I am happy to report, they all did fabulous and it was just what my heart needed! And from the looks of it, you'll see the kiddos had an ABSOLUTE blast!!

First stop upon arrival into Birmingham: straight to McWane Center!
Loving the opportunity to explore water...
And figure out how things work...
Happy little campers for sure!
"Look right der Mom!"
They got a chance to test out their "waitress" skills at the cafe...
And learn of the many difficulties of taking little ones to the grocery store...=)
They worked together as a team to take of their sick animals at the Vet...
Ashton Kate learned of the demands of taking care of a house...and children...
And the twins saw firsthand how quickly messes are made in a home...=)
They learned that daddy is best at taking care of the cars...
It's easy to see they had a ball here! They couldn't quit talking about how much fun they had!
and enjoyed being reunited with some sweet friends!
And truly kids aren't too different than mamas in that they pick up where they left off as if no time had passed in between! They seem to be doing just fine in making themselves feel at home...=)
After a super quick nap/down time at the Schilder's house, we fed them a quick dinner and headed to the library (where we first met!!) and they enjoyed Roger Day...just think silly songs and that about sums it up!
Sweet, sweet kiddos before bedtime!
The next morning we had to go to story time together at Emmett O'Neal for old times sake! And of course they soaked up every minute and sat perfectly still! Their programs for little ones are simply wonderful so we loved being back!
We could possibly be biased since we are their moms, but they are just the cutest girls and boys girls, eh!?
Enjoying all the things that make this a "kid-friendly" place! =)
We left the library after oodles of fun and headed to the Tot Lot we used to play at frequently and then grabbed a quick lunch at Magic Muffins!
Then we ran back to their house to let the little ones grab a nap, the big kids play, and for the moms to visit some more! And then we set off on one last venture to Doodles for some ice cream!
These five COULD NOT have done any better together! They were just so sweet playing together! Made our mama hearts so full and happy!
Thank you sweet Margaret Anne for opening up your home to our crazy girls and making us feel right at home!! We had the best time and can't wait to make more memories together as they continue to grow! We love yall's precious family!
