Weight: Mak: ~27 lbs; MG: ~30lbs
Clothes: Mostly 2T
Shoes: Mak: size 5 ½ ; MG: size 6
Teeth count: Mak: 16; MG: 16 still waiting on molars
What new things you girls have done this month!? (from 30-31mo)
-Phrases we hear a lot of: “naked jaybird!” “Opennn it!” (lots of nn’s) “She’s so tiny” (referring to their baby dolls) “My privates are coming out”  & “I have nipples in there-I need this bra” (too funny not to record!) “it hurts me” or “it bothers me!” (MG) “I eat bfast and watch a movie…” “my goodies” (Mak referring to her blankies and pacis) “mommy do it” (anything regarding bedtime!) “Mommy, watch me go pee pee”
-think it’s hilarious to call daddy “Kendall” or “babe” if they hear mommy yell for him!
-Love having daddy give them “princess rides” to bed every night after family worship time. They will call themselves princess A and princess B and daddy delivers them to their “castle!”
-love playing with mommy’s phone if they wake up before the other one does in the morning or after nap
-have full conversations in the car with each other and will sing lots of songs out loud and to their babies; while playing with their babies they will have conversations back and forth between them and their babies and I just love hearing the dialogue-it’s hysterical!
-love singing songs-favorite ones are still father Abraham, your friends are my friends, twinkle, twinkle, wheels on the bus, London bridge, ring around the rosy, deep and wide
-favorite foods for each one are so different but things they both love: edamame, smoothies, muffins, raisins but then MG is our lover of fruit and yogurt-absolutely loves it! Makenzie prefers anything over it and will devour her pancakes, waffles, eggs, muffins, raisin bread-can you tell she loves carbs. She also loves cheese. Neither one likes meat very much and we have to work very hard to get them to eat it!
-Mak loves to have her back rubbed at night while she falls asleep (who wouldn’t right!?) She is still our SUPER duper snuggly one and loves to be rocked!
-MG is still our more creative, artsy one at this point! She loves coloring, painting, etc and enjoys it for long periods of time. Maddie Grace knows her colors very well whereas Makenzie still doesn’t know hers at this point. Probably because she loses interest in any art activity fairly quickly and wants mommy or daddy to help her do it or begins a new activity. =)
-Mak is quite a smart cookie! She can already be manipulative (scary I know!) but with their recent bouts of respiratory infections/pneumonia/etc we were giving just MG some Motrin for her fever and Mak began to do a fake cough so she could hopefully get some too!  She also now knows that telling us she needs to go potty in a frantic voice will get her out of her car seat or out of a place she doesn’t want to be (tailgate for instance!) so she’ll tell us she’s about to wet her panties and that it’s coming out! That little rascal!
-MG is still our super observant child! It blows us away how much she remembers. She recently saw the characters from Monsters University on a cereal box and told us that we went to see that (which we did at Plainsman Park!) and she also has correlated Kendall’s work slogan with another bank in the area and says Daddy’s office when we drive by…
-Maddie Grace still loves puzzles and will amaze us with her ability to look at a piece (in a 60-piece puzzle) and place it exactly where it should go! Not sure if it’s because she’s worked it so many times or what, but nonetheless still impressive. She will say…”hmm I’m thinking it might go here…” and place it down correctly!
-Makenzie is still our little “mommy”-whether it’s taking care of her babies or of Maddie Grace, she goes to the extreme. She is sooo sweet to Maddie Grace and will help her find her bunnies or get anything Maddie Grace requests of her. She always looks out for her and will ask her if she wants to play with her or if she feels ok or if she wants to play with the toy she has…not 100% of the time, but a lot of the time and it just makes our hearts happy to see her kindness!
-MG is still our stubborn, stubborn one-she won’t let you talk her into doing anything if she doesn’t want to…mm, mm, mm she can be a big challenge but of course we love her to death and are working through this! She also sadly runs to the corner every time she is upset or is having a temper tantrum-whether it’s the bathroom, behind a door, in a closet, or any tight space, she runs as fast as she can to have her moment of sadness alone L On a positive note, she is also very particular and one day that may serve her very well! She is not satisfied until everything is “just right” or looks just the way she wants it. She will spend forever getting her stuffed animals lined up or tucked in or sitting just the way she envisioned them! =)
-Makenzie can be very mischievous at times and will run and do things she knows are off limits and then go hide. She will also try to sneak her paci and dive headfirst into a corner as if we don’t see what she’s doing. She thinks she’s quite funny!
-MG can still be our little lazy one and doesn’t want to go get things she wants. She will ask Kenzie or Mommy to go it and of course Makenzie is happy to oblige. She will run and get MG anything she asks for-bunnies, milk, books, blankies, you name it. So sweet but just catering to MG’s laziness, ha! We call Kenzie MG’s little runner!
-I know I probably say it every month, but it has been so much fun seeing them become best buddies! They play together all the time and have gotten super creative in playing pretend. They make huge messes together and have the best time which I love! They are so sweet to each other, most of the time! I feel like they are each other’s biggest fans and will get so excited for the other one when they succeed! They will also show so much concern when the other one is sick or hurt! It’s been wonderful to see them able to build, create, and use their imaginations to play with each other!
