Sweet girl, we
are SO SO smitten over you and this stage you are in! Goodness we can’t seem to
get enough of you! We think every little thing you do is so funny, so precious,
and so entertaining! We could watch you all day and sometimes we often find
ourselves doing just that. One thing for sure is how dearly loved you are by
every member of our family. You are summoned by all for many hugs and kisses.
We all could just eat you up! You are becoming so verbal lately which has been
so much fun and you are learning so many things and soaking up your
surroundings. Just a big developmental stage you are in for sure and I’m so
blessed to be your mama nd to be home to share each and every milestone with
you! I seriously can hardly remember a day before you came along-it’s like the
Lord knew you would be the next piece of the puzzle to make our family complete
=) As if we didn’t already know He is 100% sovereign over all. And Praise God
He is just that. We know you don’t understand or grasp many spiritual concepts
quite yet, but we must admit it’s rather endearing and adorable to see you
clasp your sweet hands together and close your eyes to mutter a prayer before
eating or before bed or whenever you hear mama/dada say “Let’s Pray!” Oh that
your heart would be softened in due time to your Creator, your Savior, your
Sustainer, your Everything. You sure do make life more exciting each day for us
and for that we are eternally grateful! Now can you please not let another
month pass by! We want to bottle you up in this age and stage and savor every
last drop of oozing cuteness! We love you Ashton Kate-so much it hurts!

-Still can’t
complain about your sleep habits-you generally still sleep 11-12 hours solid
most nights unless you wake up occasionally from a bad dream and still take one
long nap after lunch for 2-2.5hrs-you and Maddie Grace can battle it out for
the award for best sleeper =)
-As far as eating
goes, could be worse, could be better =) Definitely not as picky as your twin
sisters were at your age, but you definitely are still very opinionated about
what you eat big time. You will hardly touch a vegetable, so we still use the
squeeze pouches every day to get those in you. You love most fruits though and
you really love a smoothie so we can chock that full of good stuff for you! You
are a pretty good meat eater/pasta eater-you appear to love sauce already-which
definitely makes you fit nicely into this family =)
-As far as
personality goes, boy do you have one. You are a little firecracker, for real!
You are a very opinionated, high maintenance, squealer in our family! We still
love you, but boy do you make yourself and your desires known. You get furious
when something gets in the way of what you want or keeps you from being
independent and doing it yourself.
-In the language
development area, you are beginning to take off and we are loving every cute
word you say and the ability to understand you! Things we hear often are: I
see, I see!! Outside, let’s go, GO! horsey, doggy, kitty cat, and of course plenty
of “mamas and dadas” all day long!
-You are still
quite the little climber-you can often be found moving your little chair over
to the pantry or the doll house to get to things higher up-AH!
-Outside still
remains your favorite place/activity/word around our house in your eyes! You
LOVE to be there and will immediately run for the door and tell outside, outside
in hopes that your desire will be fulfilled! There’s really nowhere else you
are as content as when you are out there. However, the one down side is you
want to be free roaming like your big sisters in the cul-de-sac or get out of
the stroller to walk on the sidewalk too-you just can’t stand being the little
one in the fam! And you still cry your eyes out when we come in-almost every.single.time!
-Your
affectionate ways are simply addicting. I could sit and hold you forever if you
would smother me with your hugs and kisses-You still give very open-mouthed
kisses willingly and wrap your arms tight around my neck-nothing better! You
are definitely a mama’s girl through and through. I might even say to the point
of being too attached! I won’t complain for now as it passes all too quickly!
-A few more things you are doing these days: you
love to use the rails to walk up
stairs and across ramps, you love love to read books and you will still back
yourself into our laps and sit for quite a while! You especially love the
little non-fiction reader books that are mostly about animals-hands down your
favorite lately! You hate to be chased and will laugh and laugh but when we get
close you sometimes cry and hold onto whoever is nearby for dear life! You love
to now play pretend with the twins and it is adorable. You are almost always a
part of their playing if you are awake and it’s so cute to watch! Lastly, you
love walking around “talking” on your phone and you look so grown up doing it!
If only we knew what all was being said =)
-Important dates this month: 5/30-you had your first lollipop and then
on 6/8-just past 19mo you officially started using sippy cups all day. You had
your last bottle before bed on 6/7
