Party Time

Cannot believe it is time to celebrate these two turning TWO!

Can it seriously be true?! So we thought we would do a low-key celebration for our two sugarplums and combine their two favorite things: Mickey Mouse & ChickFilA. They literally cheer for both of these things so what better way to celebrate their 2nd year of life we thought. =) With us beginning to pack up and move to Auburn, we thought this could be one last hurrah for them and for us. Boy did our small little party grow a little large, probably a little larger than their daddy expected and/or wanted. Let's just say he picked getting the girls dressed, filling up their milk cups and getting them to their party on time over setting up at ChickFilA. That should tell you something....

What a huge blessing it was to our hearts though to be surrounded by so many of our closest and dearest friends here in Birmingham. I could have teared up looking at friends who have known us since the day we moved to town and then those who the girls have been buddies with since they entered the world. It was bittersweet to say the least, but we were so grateful to everyone who came and subjected themselves to the chaos of 20 toddlers sprinkled among siblings and parents =) Memories, Memories is what I'm about folks!

The girls were WAY more interested in getting the play area than eating nuggets or cupcakes. In fact so much so, that they spent most of their party in the play place with their friends. =) We had a fabulous time and slept very soundly that night full from joy. And might I just add one side note that ChickFilA was incredible. They don't offer a party package but they helped from the minute I arrived setting up tables, chairs, high chairs and tying balloons to every single one in addition to assigning someone to our group the entire evening to fill kids meal orders. We already knew they were a special company but even more so after our little party celebration! And that is why we make an average of two trips a week there =)
