Due to the fact that the stomach bug hit our family again...I am just now getting around to posting about Makenzie's date with her daddy last Saturday night! (Jan.5th) All day we had been talking to her about her special night out with daddy in hopes that it might sink in that it was JUST HER and daddy! If anyone knows our sweet Makenzie you are well aware of just how much she loves/desires/craves/thinks she needs one on one attention from us. So this is right up her alley to have daddy all to herself! And sweetheart, one day when you are reading this and wondering why Maddie Grace got to go camping and you have not yet, we will gently and as sweetly as possible explain to you that you didn't quite have the same laid-back and go with the flow disposition that your sister did which made it possible to take her out in the woods knowing she would probably would sleep through the night and pretty minimal risk of waking up people in the middle of the night. =) However, you are loved just as much as your sister and your daddy hopes you always know that deep down in your heart! What a special night it was for the two of you and daddy said you were on your absolute best behavior! Lots of special times were shared at Johnny Rockets and Barnes & Noble! And here's how your 2nd date with your daddy went down through some pictures...

After dinner, the two of you headed to Barnes & Noble to play with the trains and read books together (your favorite thing to do hands down!) Looks like from the picture below you enjoyed yourself for as long as you could make it! And crazy that your tiny little self, at almost 2, can still fit in your infant car seat comfortably!
