So as a parent you know this day is coming, but I don't think there is anything you can do to prepare for the emotions that will follow other than to keep your eyes upward each day. To know these children we have been entrusted with are a gift from God. To use the days He grants us wisely. To make as many memories as possible and savor the time with them. It all goes by far too quickly even though some days may have felt like they crept by ever so slowly. As we packed lunches, laid out backpacks and clothes, & read some stories about starting school, my heart was at peace and full of gratitude that the Lord graciously allowed me to stay home with them from birth until now. We have prayed for this day and it is finally upon us. Praying for their hearts as they make new friends and learn new things-may they let their lights shine for you Jesus as you grow them up!
Looks like we are as ready as we are ever going to be!
Cutest lil' Kindergarten girls!
Will be fun to look back and see their favorites and things they loved!
So grateful they are in the same class and have each other as they begin this new adventure!
Little Sis won't know what to do without her sisters home every day and having Mommy all to herself as well!
Walking these girls into their classroom on the first day of Kindergarten...
Makenzie and Maddie Grace leaving "home" for the first time in their lives...not sure who was more nervous-them or us?!
Finding their cubbies, unpacking, & finding their desks to get started!
They truly are "Happy Campers" after meeting Mrs. Moyer! We know it's going to be a great year!
We pray they always cherish this special bond of being twins!
Mrs. Moyer sent all the parents a picture of them on their first day!! =)
Starting our new tradition of a school bus cake for snack after their first day of school each year! No one will be hiring me as cake decorator anytime soon, but they sure were all smiles when they saw it and that's all that matters!
