We promised the girls big girl beds once we got settled into the new house. I can't say that we are settled, but we're as settled as probably will ever be until it's time to move again. Wish I was kidding, but that's probably the honest truth. =) Knowing this reality for us, we decided after months of looking and talking about beds, we would finally just bite the bullet and just order them. We honestly didn't look around too long because it's hard to find two beds just alike within a certain price. Originally we thought the Pottery Barn Kids beds were going to be too pricey but it turns out that they were cheaper than most other beds we looked at and they weren't nearly as cute. So without further ado, we introduced the girls to their new beds on a Saturday night, after returning home from a night out with mommy to a Disney Dinner Theater at a local church here in town (It was WAY cute for the record!) Daddy stayed behind to pick up new mattresses and to assemble the new beds! Maddie Grace & Makenzie were all smiles as they came running into their "new room!" They LOVED them and suddenly I was overcome with a twinge of sadness at how quickly our "little girls" were growing! They haven't been the babies in the family for a while now, but to this momma I think I will always see them that way! (at least until they graduate college, right? =) The transition to real beds was seamless....and seamless meaning they still do their usual routine of fighting bedtime and sleeping through the night (Mak) like they did with their toddler beds! BUT...we praise God that our biggest challenge right now is simply that. We know we have been more than blessed and we celebrate and cherish TODAY as a gift of God's goodness. Another day of three healthy little girls who are an absolute treasure to us!
