Dear Grayson,
Boy oh boy, what a surprise you have been from the
beginning! Before you came along our world was full of pink, but now to see
some blue sprinkled in our house has been amazing =) Still hard to let it fully
sink in that you are here and you are our adorable little BOY we hoped and
prayed for for over 9 months! Knowing you are Lord willing our last baby, we
are soaking up every tiny ounce of snuggling you to the fullest and then
snuggling you a smidge more! Your coos, first sleepy smiles, your barnyard
noises, every little thing you do we stare and ooh and ahh over. Even on the
sleepless nights we know this time is fleeting so we savor each moment and each
midnight feeding a tad more and pray for strength to face the day. We know it
will pass oh too soon. It won’t be like this for long is entirely too
true. Each stage passes so quick so even
when the days feel long, the years are short and fly by in the blink of an eye.
We are loving every minute with you and praise God for your life! You are such
a gift to our family and we cannot wait to see you continue to grow up before
our eyes. We have huge hopes and dreams for you and so look forward to all the
ways you will complete our family! We are so smitten over you sweet boy and so
thankful for your precious life! Your sisters are pretty smitten too and love
you dearly! You’re pretty special around our house and we hope and pray that
only grows with each passing day! You are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made….we
know that FULL WELL.

Milestones: Birth-1 Month Old
-first walk with daddy and your sisters after school to town
creek park on 3/24/17 (3 days old)
-first picnic dinner at Samford 3/24/17 as well

gave you your first sponge bath while your big sisters crowded around to watch
on 3/25/17 (4 days old)
-your umbilical cord fell off 3/27/17 (6days
old)
-circumcision plasti bell fell off on 3/31/17-10 days old
-started pulling your head up at 10/11 days old
-first time to the park with Mommy & Ashton Kate on 4/4/17 (2wks old)
-first time to church on 4/9/17 (2.75wks old-19 days)
-1st day to introduce the paci (pretty big fan at
least of day one) on 4/12/17-3wks 1day old
-began to be more alert and smiley/responsive to
us talking to you right around 3wks-you would stare up at us like you’re really
listening =)
-grunting and uncomfortable after eating and cries in pain =(
-GREAT eater and GREAT sleeper so far!
-LOVE to be held
upright in our chest…best way to get you fast asleep and totally peaceful!
Especially because you spit up a lot!
-slept in the
rock n play beside Mommy & Daddy’s bed-it sure did help to have you at an
incline rather than flat on your back
